How do you know if one of your friends has a guaranteed spot in your bridal party? One way is to see who's been paying attention to your Pinterest boards and subtle hints.

On August 27, one of college classmates, Embre, proposed to his girlfriend, Alexis.  Several months before, Embre reached out to me to share that it was "time" and asked if I'd be available to shoot the surprise proposal. Umm...YEAH! It was mine and my husband's dating anniversary, but both of us attended to celebrate with our friends, the married couple to be.

Alexis' sister, Amy, and best friend, Shadell, had a huge hand in the plans that unfolded. Amy was with Alexis when they arrived to the venue and Shadell had been keeping things under wraps, despite Alexis' suspicion. But the two really came through for Alexis with the perfect engagement gift basket.

Shadell: I wanted to get a piece of jewelry that she could wear and remember the day she said "yes" (other than her engagement ring lol)

Amy: "Alexis wanted the Pop the champagne I'm changing my last name t-shirt. So I included two wine glasses and a bottle of champagne to go along with the t-shirt theme".

Shadell: "She LOVES coffee! What better way to drink coffee while showing off the ring while holding it!"

Both Amy & Shadell did a wonderful job on assembling the basket for their best girl! Stay tuned for the next post to see images from the proposal!
